How to Locate a Person on this Site.

There are a variety of ways in which you can locate a person here.

The first is to use the search function on the top left of the web page. Simply type in a first or last name or both and click the search button. You will then see a list of names of person matching those names. You can then choose to click on the name of the person of interest and this will take you to the detail page for that person.

Additionally, you can choose to view a list of surnames in this genealogy. This is done by clicking on the Surnames link underneath the search fields in the top left corner of the web page. Clicking this link will allow you to browse the list of surnames alphabetically. The surname itself will be listed a link which will list all individuals with the that surname. You can then scroll to find the person you are interested in and as above you will then see the detail page for that person. Note that beside each surname is a numeral in parentheses. This number tells you how many people share that surname in the database.

A third way to find a person of interest is to choose a surname from the word cloud on the front page of this site. Choose the Home link from the menu list to the left and note the word cloud in the lower right of the screen. It contains the most popular surnames in the genealogical file, with the more popular displayed with a larger font size. Clicking any of these names will display a list of persons sharing that surname.
